Introducing Kelia Moniz

Kelia is not only a household name in women’s longboarding; she’s also considered Hawaiian Surf Royalty. We got the chance to hangout with the two-time WSL Longboard Champion and Cariuma team pro surfer back home at Waikiki and capture her daily life beyond the water.

Kelia was in the water as soon as she could walk, and it shows: she’s a champion of positivity for young female surfers and an innate environmentalist—the first to admit that the future is up to us, to embrace as our sacred responsibility. Here, the masterful longboarder and mother of two welcomes us for an intimate portrait of the island, family, and waves that raised her.
