Why Use Natural Rubber for Skate Shoes?
Our natural rubber is ethically sourced and perfectly-weighted. It comes from the Hevea brasiliensis tree via an ethical process called ‘tapping’, through which a milky sap is extracted from the tree bark. No trees are harmed in the making of our sneakers!

Other Cariuma Skateboarding Shoe Features
We find every opportunity to enhance the overall comfort of your CATIBA Pro shoes. Our signature (rave-reviewed) insoles are cork-based, together with mamona oil. Mamona oil is an organic, plant-based petroleum alternative that helps us avoid using virgin plastic. Our insoles are molded to align with the anatomy and natural movement of your foot while skateboarding, without sacrificing boardfeel or adding weight to the shoe. We’ve also added a padded heel collar to reduce friction and ensure comfort right out of the box.

Skate Shoes that Plant Trees
We’ve recently introduced a brand new, skate-specific initiative: the Single Shoe Program. Skaters know, even with the durability of CATIBA Pro, that one shoe is often subject to more wear-and-tear than the other. This first-of-its-kind program gives you the option to replace a worn left or right foot shoe, extending the life of your favorite pair and reducing waste 2:1. What’s better for the planet is better for your wallet, too!
