Beyond designing sustainable sneakers that are both comfortable and stylish, we are committed to protecting and restoring the environment.
For every pair of sneakers sold, we plant a pair of trees in the Brazilian rainforest. This project is directed by our in-house Environmental Lead, working closely with CEPAN, a Brazilian NGO that specializes in ecological restoration. At every stage of the reforestation process, CEPAN’s expertise and local roots facilitate a collaborative working relationship with Indigenous communities. We listen and work alongside them to respectfully interact with Nature and guide this project to long-term sustainability and impact.
We are planting trees in a way that attempts to restore the rainforest in a way that recognizes local biodiversity. This includes planting a variety of trees in order to restore the diversity of the rainforest, including the species Caroba, Jacaranda, Murici-da-Mata, Pau-Brasil and Peroba.
